Westminster Mall in Westminster, California opened in August 1974 but closed its doors in October 2025, with JCPenney following in November and leaving Target as the sole active anchor by December. Two other anchor spaces, once home to Macy's and Sears, sat empty in its final years. Shopoff Realty Investments, which owns the Goldenwest Street and Bolsa Avenue site, has begun demolition as of April 2026 to clear space for a planned mixed-use development.
