Destiny USA opened on Syracuse's Onondaga Lake shoreline in October 1990 as Carousel Center and has grown into a six-story complex ranking as New York's largest shopping mall and the tenth-largest nationally. In 2021 it drew over 26 million visitors, placing among the top 20 most-visited shopping centers in America. The mall houses a 19-screen Regal Cinemas, a namesake carousel on its second floor, and an underground level with a chapel and additional shops.
