Central Mall
Fort Smith, Arkansas
Fort Smith's Central Mall traces back to 1971, when Dillard's, JCPenney, Sears, and the locally owned Boston Store first anchored the property. Namdar Realty Group now owns and manages the center, whose old Sears space has become a gym, while the former Boston Store location was partly torn down and rebuilt during a 1999 remodel that added a new mall entrance. Little of that original anchor wing remains recognizable today.
