Santa Monica Place

Santa Monica Place began as an enclosed mall in 1980, then underwent a three-year, ground-up reconstruction starting in January 2008 that transformed it into the open-air, three-level center that reopened in August 2010. Sitting at the southern end of the Third Street Promenade just two blocks from the pier and beach, its tenant lineup leans upscale with brands like Elie Tahari and AllSaints, though former Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom anchor spaces remain unfilled.
