Diamond Run Mall

Rutland County, Vermont

IndoorEnclosed Mall

Diamond Run Mall opened in 1995 as the second enclosed shopping center to serve Rutland, Vermont, following the earlier Rutland Mall. At its height it housed more than 60 stores behind anchors J.C. Penney, Sears, and Kmart, but financial troubles tied to developer Zamias Services, Inc., along with local regulatory constraints, weighed on the property for years. Tenancy fell sharply during the Great Recession, and the mall shut its doors permanently in October 2019.
