Castleton Square Mall

Castleton Square has held the title of Indiana's largest mall since Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation and Homart Development built it in 1972 on the northeast side of Indianapolis. Simon Property Group now owns and manages the enclosed center, whose original anchors—JCPenney, Sears, Lazarus, and Woolworth—have given way over time to JCPenney, Forever 21, H&M, AMC Theatres, Dick's Sporting Goods, Macy's, Hobby Lobby, and Von Maur. Expansions in 1990 and 1998 added a food court and pushed the mall past 130 inline stores, with a Primark currently under construction.
