Gateway Mall

Lincoln's Gateway Mall traces back to construction in the late 1950s with ambitions of becoming Nebraska's largest, officially opening in 1960 as an outdoor shopping center before 1990s renovations enclosed it. Today the CBL Properties-managed mall remains the city's biggest shopping destination, with 107 stores anchored by Dillard's, Dick's Sporting Goods, Round 1 Entertainment, and JCPenney. Ownership and naming changed several times, from Westfield Shoppingtown Gateway after a 2001 sale to its current name following a 2012 sale.
