Bridgewater Commons

Bridgewater Commons opened February 24, 1988 as Somerset County, New Jersey's first shopping mall, situated at the junction of Route 22 and Route 202/206 near Interstate 287 in Bridgewater Township. The fully enclosed main building spans 900,000 square feet, and a 2006 addition called The Village brought an open-air shopping district of roughly 94,000 square feet with 15 more stores and restaurants. In 2026, mall owner Pacific Retail Capital Partners sold The Village portion to Urban Edge Properties for $54.3 million.
