Positioned along the Hartford Turnpike opposite the open-air Waterford Commons, it drew shoppers from a trade area topping 296,000 people across towns including Stonington, Norwich, and New London. All five of its anchor spaces, formerly Sears, JCPenney, Jordan Marsh, and Filene's, stood vacant by the time it closed.
