North Star Mall opened in 1960 at the intersection of Loop 410 and San Pedro Avenue in San Antonio's Uptown District, where it remains a city landmark thanks to Bob "Daddy-O" Wade's oversized cowboy boot sculptures along its Loop 410 frontage. Anchors include Dillard's, JCPenney, Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Round One, and Toys "R" Us, backed by more than 200 specialty stores such as Armani Exchange, Build-A-Bear Workshop, and Oakley.
