Queens Place
Elmhurst, New York
Queens Place began life in 1965 as a Macy's designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill before converting to Stern's in 1994 after Macy's shifted its Elmhurst operations to the nearby Queens Center. Federated Department Stores closed the Stern's location in 2001 following that chain's dissolution, and the building has since been reborn as an urban mall. Today it's anchored by Target, a Macy's Furniture Gallery, and Lidl, alongside smaller tenants like Mattress Firm and Skechers.
