Inside the Venetian and Palazzo resorts on the Las Vegas Strip, the Grand Canal Shoppes opened June 16, 1999 with a distinctive network of indoor canals where gondoliers ferry visitors past designer boutiques and live street performers. A companion mall, The Shoppes at the Palazzo, opened in 2008 and was later folded into the Grand Canal Shoppes brand. Combined, the property now spans more than 875,000 square feet and houses over 200 tenants.
