Genesee Valley Center
Flint Township, Michigan

Genesee Valley Center opened in 1970 just outside Flint, Michigan in Flint Township, developed by department store chain Hudson's, which anchored alongside Sears from the start. JCPenney, Mervyn's, and Montgomery Ward joined through later expansions, though Montgomery Ward closed in 2001 and was replaced by an outdoor concourse featuring Barnes & Noble. Following the 2018 closures of Sears and Burlington and Macy's exit in 2025, JCPenney stands as the mall's sole remaining anchor under current owner Namdar Realty Group.
