The Esplanade

The Esplanade, also called Esplanade Mall, opened in September 1985 in Kenner, Louisiana, a New Orleans suburb, and once housed the first Macy's in the state along with D.H. Holmes and Mervyn's. Ownership passed through Simon Property Group, Pacific Retail Capital Partners, and Kohan Retail Investment Group over the following decades. Current tenants include a Dillard's Clearance Center, Target, and a Regal Cinemas location, while the city of Kenner used part of the property as a temporary city hall following Hurricane Ida in 2021.
