The Shops at Willow Bend opened in 2001 in western Plano, Texas, near the Dallas North Tollway, and holds the distinction of being the last enclosed mall built anywhere in the state. Despite launching as an upscale center, it struggled against nearby competitors like Galleria Dallas, Legacy West, and Stonebriar Centre through repeated economic downturns. As of May 2026, most of the property faces demolition to make way for a mixed-use project called The Bend, potentially including a new arena for the Dallas Stars.
