Completed in 1977 in Hempfield Township near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Westmoreland Mall expanded significantly during a 1993-1994 renovation and now spans more than 1.28 million square feet with over 170 retailers, making it the region's second-largest shopping complex by size. JCPenney, Macy's, and Macy's Home anchor the mall, alongside Live! Casino Pittsburgh and a planned Dick's House of Sport in the former Sears space. Nearby, the Westmoreland Crossing strip center adds a 15-screen AMC theater and other big-box retailers along U.S. Route 30.
